Become an AWSS Partner

The AWSS Partner Program allows stakeholders from across the certified Australian wool supply chain to engage with the Australian Wool Sustainability Scheme (AWSS) and uphold the quality, integrity, and efficiency of AWSS Certification.

The program gives supply chain businesses and supporters of Australia’s certification scheme, AWSS, the opportunity to be recognised, featured, and preferred by customers seeking certified, sustainable wool.

As demand increases for certified, traceable, and sustainably produced wool, the Program offers a credible and practical way for Partner’s to demonstrate their commitment to sustainability, traceability, and responsible industry conduct.

From selling agents and exporters to processors and brands, AWSS Partners will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth, digital-first operation of certification, while supporting the trusted traceability of eBale identification from farm to first-stage processing.

AWSS Partners have access to exclusive benefits and advantages that non-partners don’t, including:

  • Exclusive access to request a Wool Certificate of Compliance

  • Permission to use the AWSS Partner Badge and promotional collateral

  • Access to digital traceability support

  • Public recognition as an AWSS Partner, featured in the AWSS Partner Directory

Selling Agents can request a Lot Wool Certificate of Compliance

  • Verify AWSS Certification at the individual bale or lot level for both auction and non-auction sales.

  • Strengthen confidence among buyers seeking certified, traceable wool.

Exporters can request a Consignment Certificate of Compliance

  • Consolidate multiple SW and/or RE certified lots under a single certificate.

  • Enhance shipment efficiency when managing and exporting multiple SW/RW lots or bales with minimal paperwork.

Both certificate types are designed to streamline trading, support sustainability documentation and demonstrate raw material traceability from farm to first-stage processing.

AWSS certification is at the PIC level and ends at the greasy wool stage.

There are no requirements for chain of custody tracing (e.g. Transaction Certificates) for wool lots certified under SustainaWOOL or ResponsiWOOL.

Certificates of Compliance cost AUD $100 (excl. GST) per request.
